"The hotel is centrally located which normally would be great and exactly why I booked it. However, there were protests going on and the beautiful view I booked was a tent city with loud music, yelling, and police sirens all night long. Would have liked a heads up from the hotel on what was happening.
The cafe is attached dnd convenient for meals."
"5 stars. A perfect base for exploring Madrid.
We stayed at Hotel Emperador on Gran Vía during our trip to Spain, and it was an easy choice. The location is hard to beat: right on Gran Vía, steps from Callao and Plaza de España, with great restaurants, tapas bars and cafes within a few minutes' walk. We walked to the Royal Palace and had breakfast, lunch and dinner within minutes of the front door.
We got a room upgrade thanks to Expedia VIP and the room was wonderful!
The staff were friendly...
"The best thing was the staff. Really friendly and caring. I fell a bit ill during my stay and they were extremely helpful helping me find the nearest pharmacy open."
